Fave African Songs Part 2

1.Winky D- Disappear
I’m not the biggest fan of Zim dancehall but this song tho! Its such a feel good song

2.Dbn Nyts ft. Zinhle Ngidi & Trademark- Shumaya
I kept hearing this song during my December holiday in Zimbabwe & South Africa. But didn’t know the name or the artist. I would type in google “shumbaye” because that’s what I thought they were saying. I finally asked my aunt and she gave me the name. The music video makes me want to go back to Cape Town or matter of fact  just transfer to the University of Cape Town.

3.Heavy-K(Drumboss) ft Nokwazi – Sweetie
SA house music has taken up a special place in my heart y’all.

4.Burna Boy-Soke
First heard this song while waiting for my flight at the airport in one of Shirley B Eniang's Youtube videos. I have been loving it ever since!

5.Sarkodie- Adonai
Reminds me of sometime during fall’15 semester when I went to an African party and everyone went crazy when this song came on. Such sweet memories in such an emotionally draining semester.

6.Uhuru ft. DJ Buckz, Oskido, Professor and Uri-Da-Cunha- Y-tjukutja
Don’t y’all just love how music brings you back down memory lane. I love this song a lot. It reminds me of when I went to this one place  in Harare  with my aunts, cousins, and uncles it was such a memorable night.

7.Olamide-Bobo

8.Wizkid ft Drake- Ojuelegba (Remix)
I love the part when Skepta says "I had to tell my story because they rather show you black kids with flies on their faces on the television." This verse alone could be a whole other blog post.

9.Burna Boy- Like to party

10.AKA feat Burna Boy- All Eyez On Me

** Bonus Track**
11.Popcaan- Good Times
I know this is supposed to be an African song playlist but this song brings back so many good memories of Summer ’15. Weirdly after the 3 months I spent in Zim & SA, I gained a new found appreciation for dancehall.
